For those looking to have fun on the water, the new AB Rider from AB Inflatables deserves a hard look. Combining the best features of a Waverunner and an inflatable, the versatile Rider has the spaciousness and safety of a tender and the performance of a PWC. It debuts at the 2008 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show.
At 10' 6" x 5' 5", the AB Rider comfortably seats two adults or one adult and two kids, and it has plenty of storage space to keep cargo dry and protected. Four davit-lifting points, three 17" air chambers built from tough Hypalon material and an anti-skid floor clearly show its heritage as a high-quality inflatable with a focus on safety.
In the performance department, the Rider is a blast to drive. Its three towing rings and grab handles for passengers in the stern are a sure sign that the Rider is more than a tender. An ergonomic, jockey-style console with closed cell foam upholstery provides a sporty but functional appearance.
