Orders: Orders can be pick up at the store( see store hours). On-line orders normally process the same day before 2pm EST except for Saturday and Sunday which will be processed on the following Monday. You will also receive an email acknowledgment receipt of your order, processing time is additional.

Shipping Charges
 
Shipping charges on most items are based on standard UPS rates which are based on package weight, size and distance shipped.  To preview shipping charges, enter the items you want to order into your shopping cart.  When you are done, click on estimate shipping to calculate shipping charges.  Directly below will be a list of different UPS shipping options with the associated charges.  If you have any questions on the automatic shipping charge calculation, please contact us.  We will do everything possible to assure you receive the lowest cost shipping charge available.

UPS Ground, 3rd Day Select, 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air shipping methods are available to all customers placing orders to be shipped within the 48 contiguous United States.  Online orders to be shipped to Alaska and Hawaii are sent by UPS 2nd Day Air, or UPS Next Day Air delivery. These orders are not eligible for UPS Ground or Three Day Select shipping.

We can also ship using US Postal Service (1st Class, Priority Mail, Express Mail) or any other method a customer may require.  However, orders requiring special shipping must be arranged by contacting us and cannot currently be entered online. 
 
Some items that cannot be shipped by UPS due to weight or HAZMAT shipping requirements will be shipped by motor freight.  These items will generally show a fixed shipping price for destinations within the 48 contiguous United States.  Alaska and Hawaii orders will require a freight quotation.
 
Shipping of Life Rafts
 
Due to weight and HAZMAT issues, life rafts must be shipped by motor freight.  These carriers add significant surcharges for residential delivery.  Accordingly, all life rafts must be shipped to a commercial address (i.e. business, marina, shipyard, etc.).  Shipping amounts for life rafts quoted on our site assume delivery to a commercial address to avoid these surcharges.  If you must have a life raft delivered to a residential address, please contact us.  Based on your location, we will obtain a shipping quote including all residential delivery surcharges.

    Gift Certificates:     We have no restrictions on redemption. No tax or shipping charge is imposed on the sale of our Gift Certificates.
    If you have been given a paper gift certificate, you must call us to redeem it.

    Returns: We want you to be completely satisfied with your order from Lifeline Marine Safety and we will gladly exchange, replace, or refund any merchandise that doesn't meet your expectations subject to the following 20% restocking fee and other restrictions:

  • If you receive incorrect or defective merchandise, you must contact us within 10 days of purchase to receive a return authorization. Returns must be accompanied by the original sales slip.
  • Dated materials such as flares, charts, and publications are not returnable.
  • Registered items such as PLBs or EPIRBs are not returnable.
  • Software and electronic charts must be unopened, unless the manufacturer offers a special guarantee period.
  • Special Orders and Customized Products, including computers with installed software, life rafts, defibrillators, oxygen, engraved products, are not returnable.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable except in cases of defective merchandise.
  • Orders shipped via Priority Mail cannot be claimed for non-delivery of goods, because we cannot trace these packages to their destination.

    We will provide you with a shipping cost quote. (minimum charge is $50.00 US for Federal Express International Priority). All international orders are deemed Special Orders and are not returnable. Any import / export duties, taxes or VATs are paid for by the customer and are not a responsibility of Lifeline Marine Safety.
